Creative Green City Planner Series: I, II, & III

Building a green city takes skill as well as creativity. Using Lego Robotic kits, students undergo a simulation of city planning and energy production which brings to life classroom concepts of math and science. Challenges during the simulation will teach participants to pivot on their thinking capacities, work with their groupmates to brainstorm solutions, and consider multiple methods of problem solving. The curriculum concept of this series is to cultivate divergent thinking through knowledge integration and application. 

The Creative Green City Planner I: 7/16-7/20, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Creative Green City Planner II: 7/30-8/3, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Creative Green City Planner III: 8/13-8/17, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The curriculum of the above camps are non-repeating and non-sequential.

Machine & Mechanism Series

Learn about motorized machines, gearing mechanisms, and the principles of math and science related to these concepts. These fundamental ideas are meant to be a starting point for young students to investigate the basics of engineering. Students will experiment under different scenarios to bring these concepts to life using their Lego Robotic Kits in a fun and engaging manner.

Motion & Speed: 6/18-6/22, M-F, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Forces, Equilibrium & More: 7/2-7/6, M-F, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Robotics & Programming
